Estuarine Mapping Workshop

Estuarine Mapping (EM), an innovative tool, stands out for its ability to provide clarity and direction in complex settings where traditional linear problem-solving methods fall short.

The idea behind estuarine mapping is deceivingly simple: We need to focus our attention and energy on what is possible from the place we are in right now, on those areas (items of action) where we can make a difference.

In our interactive and practical onsite (or online) workshops, participants not only get to know the method but will create a map for their unique complex issue and identify actionable steps through safe-to-fail experiments.

How We Will Work Together

Here are key principles for ways of working together that can help facilitate an effective and transformative learning journey.

Openness and Curiosity
We commit to fostering an atmosphere where participants feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We encourage curiosity about different coaching methods, perspectives, and the diverse experiences in the room.

Confidentiality and Trust, Mutual Respect and Inclusion
What is shared within the group remains within the group, creating a safe space for personal and professional development. We build a supportive learning community. We recognize the value of diverse perspectives and experiences.

Learning Mindset
We see challenges as opportunities for learning and growth. We facilitate an environment that supports experimentation, exploration, and robust learning. We take responsibility for our own learning and commit to doing the home assignments. We see this as necessary steps toward developing a successful coaching practice.

Feedback as a Gift
We cultivate an environment where feedback is given and received as a gift. We ask for, receive, and act on feedback that is specific, actionable, and delivered with kindness. We welcome feedback that makes us aware of our blindspots and ways to grow as human beings and coaches.

Self-Reflection and Self-Awareness
We engage in self-reflection as a tool for deep learning and personal growth. We encourage each other to reflect on our learning, how it applies to our coaching practice, and any changes we notice in ourselves and others as we progress through the program.
